Our Story:

“Why aren’t there any stylish lab coats?” These words of a friend doctor got Arata, who was working in the internet business at the time, to start thinking about the production of lab coats and medical wear. He called upon his friend Nobuo, who had been working as a cutter in an Italian Tailor studio to design a sample lab coat, which upon its disclosure on the internet, received a large amount of responses from doctors who were dissatisfied with the existing lab coats they had owned. This is how the high quality and stylish lab coats designed with traditional tailoring techniques were introduced to the world in the year of 2008.

Arata, Nobuo, and the other members who gathered to Classico strived to transform the existing values of lab coats by designing and manufacturing lab coats in collaboration with a fabric maker focused only on high quality materials, and a factory recognized for its perfect sewn products manufacturing.

The sales scope was initially set to Japan where it all began. However, the sales expanded to doctors and customers all over the world starting from the year of 2009. Ever since, Classico receives orders and amazing remarks world wide, and has become a brand of stylish lab coats loved by many people around the world.

Cutting techniques

Our lab coats are produced with special patterning and cutting techniques by of our designer who trained in an Italian tailoring studio.Tackings and adjustments are repeated a number of times in the attempt to create its beautiful silhouette and comfortable fit when wearing the lab coat. There may not be many fashion brands that continue altering their patterns in order to reach what they see as ideal. Designer Nobuo is aware that the difference in a few inches can change the silhouette, comfort and fit of the lab coat. For example,the shoulder line of the lab coat is set further back compared to standard lab coats, and with the large amount of gatherings allows the movements around the arms to become easy and smooth. Also, the cuffs are designed with functionable cuff buttons with the wear comfort in mind. It is, however, never ending to list the small details that define the high quality of Classico.

Material Quality

Rarely found in ordinary medical wear, we use 100% high quality cotton for the material of our lab coats. The usage of high quality cotton material prevents our lab coats from losing their stylishness and shape even after repeated washings and cleaning. The crisp white colored material is perfect for those who have disliked the standard pale colored lab coats. The application of Gabardine gives the material an unique and sheen surface feel and look, along with a real sense of class you could not have imagined a lab coat could ever have! In all reason, hygienic protection is guaranteed with the high-grade antibacterial cotton. The luster and superior texture of the material with hardly any naps, and the usage of high quality cotton material; this is one of the reasons the our lab coats are loved.

Through his career in internet business, had engaged in numerous launching of business. In 2008, getting an idea from what his doctor friend had told him, launched Classico as a doctor coat brand which specialize in designing and the technique of tailoring.

Become experienced in Italian style tailoring atelier and was busily engaged in tailoring of various brands including the collection brands and has had a career also as a cutter. In 2008, with his business partner Mr. Ohwa, launched Classico as a brand which specializes in tailoring technique of doctor coats.
